Tour Detail

Shared trek: Please note, that you may meet many people from other groups who booked the same trek activity with us and coincided with you on the same departure day and join us.

Meals included: 3 lunches, 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts. Including vegetarian and vegan options – just let us know in advance.

Accommodation: SOLO travelers joining group trips are paired in twin or in a group in a multi-share dorm in a country lodge (2 nights) and 1 night in Aguas Calientes with someone of the same sex for the duration of the activity.

Service level: Standard. Private transports, local bus mix with trains.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Biking – Rafting - Santa Maria

Pick up will begin from 06:30 – 07.00 am; between that time, we will be arriving at any time at your hotel in Cusco, please be always ready to leave. Once we have the group complete onboard, we will travel by bus to Abra Malaga, where we’ll arrive by 11 am, this is the place where your real adventure will start. Here, you’ll be fully equipped with a bicycle protection equipment and you’ll begin the 3 hours bicycle route to Huamanmarca, where the bus that will take us to the town of Santa Maria will wait for us. Arriving at Santa Maria, we will have lunch and rest. You will have two options here: one would be to stay at the lodge and rest or go rafting (included) to a point very close to Santa Maria. In the evening we will meet again with the whole group for dinner and then rest for the second day.

Day 2Santa Maria – Quellomayo – Santa Teresa

We will start at 6:00 a.m. After enjoying breakfast, we will start the walk that runs part of the Inca Trail. Along the way, we can witness the diverse flora and fauna of the place, in addition to observing many species of birds and a wide range of orchids and fruit trees. Remember that this area of Cusco, an Amazon jungle, has one of the richest areas with Biological diversity of the planet, in the small village of Kellomayo we will have a refreshing lunch.

We will continue the route until we reach the thermal baths of Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo) which are medicinal and therapeutic waters. After relaxing we will continue with our 40-minute walk to the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend our second night, accommodating us in a family lodging. Tonight is used by the majority to enjoy a ‘pisco sour’, where we will establish friendly ties with our group.

Day 3Santa Teresa –Hydroelectric – Zip line - Aguas Calientes

We’ll begin our day with a nutritious breakfast, afterwhich if you wish, you’ll have the opportunity to do the zip line (included) in the town of Santa Teresa. For Those who do not wanna do it, then can continue resting in the lodge, until the the zip line activity is over. Once this activity is over we will begin our bus trip to the hydroelectric plant.

We will arrive at Hydroeléctrica after a 40-minute bus trip and we will stop for lunch in one of the surrounding restaurants and rest, before the last leg of our journey: a 9 km route that runs along the train tracks, located in a part of the jungle, full of incredible and dense vegetation, (here we will have the option of taking the train, $ 35.00) or walking about 3 hours to Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes we will leave our bags at the lodge and we will have free time to explore the town, the artisan market, or simply relax with a bath in the hot springs ($ 5.00 / 15 soles) or rest at the lodge. In the evening, we will meet the whole group again. We will have dinner in a restaurant and have a briefing for our next day activity in Machu Picchu.

Day 4Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo - Cusco

At dawn on the fourth day around 4:00 a.m., we will get ready to go to the Inca citadel of Machupicchu, a road through the jungle, having the opportunity to see the sunrise, after checking in at the park control, at 6:20 a.m. You will be able to enjoy the sunrise while luck accompanies us. You can also choose to go up by bus ($ 24.00 round trip).

At our entrance to the citadel we will continue our tour for two hours and then we will have free time to make photographic memories.

Very important:  Passengers who visit the Machupicchu-Huaynapicchu mountain after the tour will have to go to the respective entrances of the mountains they have booked. After the visit we will have to return to Aguas Calientes by bus or walking, arriving back to Aguas Calientes, we will have time for lunch. In the afternoon we will have to take the train back to Ollantaytambo.

After 2 hours on the train, when we arrive in Ollantaytambo, a staff with the logo of our company will be waiting for you to take you to board the bus that will take you back to Cusco for approximately 2 hours of travel and will drop you off at your hotel / hostel.

If you are booking the Inca Jungle trek 4 days /3 nights with Peru Bucket List, we will require 100% of the full amount at booking time 24 hrs. before the trek start to assure you a place. Changes & Cancellations Policy

Cancellation & Changes to this tour:

*NO SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel 1 day prior to the tour before 5:00pm (Peru time), a 10% administration fee will apply. After this time, there’s a 100% no-show & cancelation fee.

*CHANGES: Any changes to the tour date MUST be done before 5:00pm (Peru time) 1 day prior to the tour.
